Description
Summary:The precursor powder for laser ceramics Yb0.3Lu2.7Al5O12 were synthesized using the reverse chemical precipitation method. The influence of sintering additives CaO and MgO on the optical, thermophysical, and luminescent properties of the ceramics was investigated. The sintering process of ceramic powders with the Yb0.3Lu2.7Al5O12 composition was analyzed. When CaO was used as a sintering additive, aluminate phases with varying CaO–Al2O3 ratios formed on the surface of Yb0.3Lu2.7Al5O12 after high-temperature annealing in air. Laser radiation was generated in quasi-continuous pumping mode, achieving a power output of 2.9 W at an absorbed pumping power of 10.2 W using the Yb0.3Lu2.7Al5O12 ceramic active material.
