X-ray luminescence of diamond composite films containing yttrium-aluminum garnet nanoparticles with varied composition of Sc–Ce doping
X-ray luminescent diamond composite films with embedded yttrium-aluminum nanoparticles were designed. Additionally, the stability limits of single-phase solid solutions in systems based on yttrium-aluminum and yttrium-scandium-aluminum garnets doped with cerium were determined. Achoimre: | X-ray luminescent diamond composite films with embedded yttrium-aluminum nanoparticles were designed. Additionally, the stability limits of single-phase solid solutions in systems based on yttrium-aluminum and yttrium-scandium-aluminum garnets doped with cerium were determined. The most intense X-ray luminescence was achieved with the [Y2·98Ce0.02]{Al2}Al3O12 powder. The composition-optimized nanoparticles were embedded into a polycrystalline diamond matrix to form a diamond-YAG:Ce composite. For the obtained composite, an intense X-ray luminescence from the Ce3+ ions near 550 nm was demonstrated. The designed composites may be used as adjustable and durable scintillating materials for a wide range of applications |
