The article discusses the problematic issues associated with the need to create sports nutrition products based on lentil, as plant materials rich in protein compounds. Sports nutrition (SP) is a specialized food product that compensates for the deficiency of missing protein substances, contributing to the rapid recovery of the body's adaptive systems during periods of stress, both physical and immune. The analysis of the development of the sports nutrition market in the Russian Federation on the basis of marketing research of the agency "BusinessStat"is presented. Allows one to predict the prospects for the development of this direction.
