總結:This article is based on studies on a comparative analysis of legislation on the religious activities of the countries of North America and Russia in the context of the use of digital space. Design/Methodology/Approach The dialectical and materialistic method, when analyzing the basic laws of the states of North America and Russia, contributed to the disclosure of law on freedom of religion. The article presents an analysis of the accumulated experience in regulating this sphere of relations in the conditions of digitalization. Findings The authors analyze the situation in the field of freedom of religion and religious beliefs on the example of different countries. Significant facts have been identified that reveal the religious life of America, Canada, and Russia in the context of globalization and digitalization. The authors discuss the fact that legal regulators have not yet been developed to convince believers of the capabilities of virtual reality. Originality/Value It is concluded that in the context of globalization, the legislation governing the religious sphere is identical in content, regardless of the countries and peoples of their populations. It has been established that in the active development of the global digital space, religious organizations use the same methods of conducting their activities, both in North America and in Russia with a focus on the younger generation.
