Strong and weak electrolytes and quantitative characteristics of the dissociation process are considered. The questions concerning hydrolysis are stated in detail: the causes, the effect, the possibility of hydrolysis for different types of salts. Methods for solving various types of problems are given. Special attention is paid to the importance of hydrolysis in biological processes. The use of this manual will facilitate the assimilation of complex sections of the course, deepen knowledge in fundamental disciplines, and enhance the profiling of the subject. Methodical developments are intended for students enrolled in the following specialties: general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, medical biophysics, and medical and preventive care.
