Résumé:The textbook Anatomical Terminology is specially designed for English-speaking students studying medicine at Russian universities. It contains the basic information about Latin phonetics and grammar which is necessary to construct, pronounce, and use medical terms correctly. It also includes extensive lists of anatomical terms with English definitions based on Terminologia Anatomica (TA), the international standard on human anatomical terminology. Various exercises will allow students to develop their skills in constructing and translating anatomical terms from Latin into English and vice versa, and therefore to better understand and learn Anatomy — one of the most important sub jects on their first-year curriculum. The textbook is composed in accordance with the State Educa tio nal Standard of the Russian Federation for medical specialties and the syllabus of the discipline "The Latin Language" for medical universities
