In recent years, the trend towards a decrease in the level of mathematical literacy in the Russian Federation has become more and more noticeable. Students spend less and less time solving problems and equations, and less and less time playing math and logic games. This is due to an incorrectly compiled program of mathematical education. On the one hand, modern technologies are assistants to students in completing assignments (services for automatically solving mathematical problems, using various calculators, the availability of solutions on the Internet), and on the other hand, in order to use all the possibilities of modern technologies, it is necessary to have extensive knowledge in areas of mathematics. The analysis of mathematical education according to the Programmer for International Student Assessment shows a good level of mathematical literacy of students (24th place), but this is not enough to achieve the goal set by the national project “Education”. The revision of mathematics education programs will increase this figure. The main change should be an increase in the number of hours for working out the material covered. The skill of solving equations, various problems, the correct use of formulas comes only with practice. The process of obtaining such skills will teach students to achieve their goals, not to stop in front of difficulties, to look for a way out of any situation.
