Description
Summary:Specific features of the interaction between magnetic emulsions and an alternating magnetic field have been studied. The emulsions are represented by a system of microdroplets of hydrocarbon-based magnetic fluids suspended in an oil medium immiscible with them. It has been shown that an alternating magnetic field can be employed to form different structural lattices in such media. The type of the lattices can be altered by varying field frequency and temperature, as well as by imposing an additional constant magnetic field. The results obtained have been analyzed taking into account the motion of the liquid phases caused by free charges accumulated at interfaces
