Summary:A new practical application of waste biological treatment of municipal wastewater activated sludge as a raw material for the composite-selective adsorbent is presented for the first time. Composite-sorbent contains up to 85% of the surplus activated sludge, and the rest -diatomit partlandtsement. It is shown that the adsorption capacity and selectivity of the resulting composite material is stabilized after electrochemical activation. The implementation preliminary purification step of waste water from ions of heavy metals allows to clean water to the regulatory requirements at minimum cost
