Description
Summary:The one of the most important factor limiting the lifetime is corrosion especially for sewer pipes and it has got a large impact on their operational costs. These phenomena has non-deterministic nature and with a description of strength characteristics of soil around a construction as random field is defming the complex reliability problem. In the study we were used Gaussian two-dimensional random fields generator with folded functions describing the scale effect of fluctuations. Procedures were written in Fish programming language for calculate parameters of material zones in Flac 2D by the method of local averaging. A numerical example will be provided to illustrate the proposed method with a view to prevent unexpected failures of the structure during its service life. The proposed methodology can help the design and management of existing pipelines in making correct decisions concerning the intervention to ensure the safe and serviceable operation of the pipes
